High School Scheduling
Current 8th (rising 9th) grade students will begin the scheduling process for the 2026-27 school year in January. Students will have two separate meetings to help them prepare their Berlin or Liberty High School schedules. Each high school will also have a scheduling information presentation for parents/guardians.

- Berlin and Liberty High School Counselors will present the 2026-27 scheduling information to our current 8th grade students.
- Counselors will pass out the Course Selection and Step sheets. Students will need to complete the course selection sheet and input their choices into PowerSchool by the second meeting.

- 2nd Meeting – Monday, January 26, 2026
- Berlin and Liberty School Counselors will meet with each student one on one to go over their schedule selection sheet and the courses they submitted into PowerSchool.
Additional Opportunities for Rising 9th Graders
- Air Force Junior ROTC
- Delaware County AFJROTC, is a citizenship- and character-building program offered at Delaware Hayes High School and available to all Delaware County High Schools. Chartered by Congress in 1966, Aerospace Science programs are charged with integrating programs of aerospace education, leadership- and team-building skills, and community service with the curricula of their host high schools. The program offers coursework in the history and science of aviation, the exploration of space, global cultural studies, and survival skills.
- Olentangy STEM Academy
- Olentangy STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Academy students focus on critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Students learn how to be innovative and think like an engineer, solve real-world problems, conduct relevant research and work with professionals in a variety of STEM fields. Students from all four Olentangy high schools attend Olentangy Academy part-time while still attending their home school for additional course options.
- Olentangy STEM Academy will be visiting 8th grade Hyatts Middle School classrooms in December 2025. Students will be given details about the Olentangy STEM Academy and how to apply. If you need more information, visit the STEM Academy Website.
- Delaware Area Career Center - Career-Based Intervention 9/10
- Students with an IEP or 504 Plan, or economically disadvantaged students can begin taking advantage of the opportunities offered by DACC in their freshman year (DACC's traditional programming begins during students' junior year).
- In the CBI 9/10 program, students learn employability skills and model them by working within various areas of the school. The classwork exposes students to careers and opportunities here at DACC and beyond. The skills learned in the Career Based Intervention (CBI) program help to prepare students to enter the workforce, military, or pursue higher education. Preference will be given to students already enrolled in a middle school DACC CBI program.
- This class is a gateway to Career Technical programs that may allow the student the opportunity to work part-time during school hours as a Junior or Senior. Curriculum is focused on general skills that apply to any workplace setting or career choice. Students will visit and have opportunities to participate in labs to make informed decisions and future choices at DACC for junior and senior years.
